(iPhone) Snapshots from DC

Taras had a work commitment in Washington, DC so we spent the first part of our week there. I'm really happy that DC is the city he has to frequent for work - we have long adored the city and have loved the chance to explore more of it.

We stuck around Dupont Circle this time around. I really love that neighborhood - all the embassies are there, which also means there are a lot of ethnic restaurants, well-dressed people, and lots of different languages to overhear as you walk down the street. Business suits sharing a communal table with hipsters - I dig that sort of variety.

The weather this time around was super yucky, so I didn't frolic too much during the days. But we made it out for meals, of course. What we enjoyed this trip: brunch with friends at Scion, cheese, pate, and mussels at Bistrot Du Coin, Thai at The Regent Thai Cuisine, lunch at Food Corner Kabob House, breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, and coffee and gelato at Dolcezza.

You can see our last trip to DC here and here.
