A love for travel is something we hope to pass on to our baby boy.
When we were browsing through Anthropologie a couple weeks back, we both spotted this map book and immediately fell for the book's unique and lovely design. Right then, we knew this would be the baby's first map.
For three months during college, Taras lived in Switzerland - I'm excited for him to share those experiences with our son.
We ordered the book for a cheaper price on Amazon and since receiving it in the mail, I haven't been able to stop thumbing through the pages - beautifully drawn pictures tell the story about each country's culture and history.
A love of food is something else we hope to pass on... we'll probably talk about the French culture a lot for this purpose :)
For now, the book will sit on a bookshelf in the nursery, as I know it'll be a long while before our son is old enough to look through the pages. But it fills me with excitement for the day when we can point out all the places we've been, share the stories of our travels, and flip through the pages as we plan our family's future adventures.
What I'm most excited for is when Taras will be able to share stories of his childhood in Russia.
And, of course, we'll have plenty of stories to tell about our US road trip. We already have a list of top places that we want to bring our children back to, starting with all the National Parks.
You can see all our travel adventures over here.
